In the presented images, the first is a closeup, followed by the whole painting in landscape and then portrait mode. Additional images are also closeups of this magnificent painting of country.
This tightly packed linear work with its ochre colours of yellow, red and white depicts the shifting sands of the sacred site of Mina Mina
, the land in the remote Tanami Desert of which Dorothy is custodial owner. Made up of two enormous soakage areas and endless sandhills, it is here Dorothy and her aunts (Napanangkas) perform rituals of dance and song as part of their passing on of Jukurrpa.
